Your first 10 minutes on ArkanPM.
Signing in
- Open the ArkanPM URL your administrator sent you (usually
https://app.<yourcompany>.arkanpm.com/login). - Enter your email and password. Click Sign in.
- If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enforced on your account, you'll be asked for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Enter it and click Verify.
- You land on the dashboard. Welcome.
Session length: Access tokens expire after 15 minutes; your session quietly refreshes for up to 7 days before you need to sign in again. If you're inactive for long periods, expect to be asked to sign in again.
Locked out? After 5 failed password attempts your account is locked for 15 minutes. If that happens, wait it out or ask a Tenant Admin to unlock you.
Turning on MFA
If your administrator asks you to enable MFA — or you just want extra security — here's how:
- Click your avatar in the top-right of the header, then My Profile.
- Go to the Security tab.
- Click Enable MFA. A QR code appears.
- Open an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator) and scan the QR code.
- Type the 6-digit code the app shows you, then click Verify.
- ArkanPM will show you 8 backup codes. Copy them somewhere safe — each code works one time if you lose your phone.
- Done. Next time you sign in, you'll be prompted for a code.
Touring the dashboard
Your dashboard auto-adapts to your role. Everyone's looks different, but the layout is the same:
- KPI cards at the top — the four or five numbers that matter most for your role.
- Trend charts — a 6-month view of work orders, occupancy by building, or monthly SLA performance, depending on your role.
- Recent activity feed — what just happened across the parts of the platform you can see.
- Quick-action buttons — shortcuts to the things you do most often.
- Auto-refresh — the dashboard quietly reloads every 60 seconds, so you don't have to.
If you'd rather see the raw list behind a KPI, click the card. It opens the filtered list underneath.
The sidebar
The sidebar is your main navigation. It only shows sections your role has access to.
Common sections, top to bottom:
- Dashboard — the page you just landed on.
- Portfolio — portfolios, properties, buildings, floors, units, amenities.
- Assets — the asset registry (equipment, systems, devices).
- Operations — work orders, preventive maintenance, SLA dashboard, inspections, warranties.
- Property Ops — leases, move-in, move-out, occupancy, key register.
- Vendors — vendor registry, contracts.
- Inventory — spare parts, purchase requests, warehouses, reorder alerts.
- Documents — the document library.
- Resident Portal — if you are a resident: home, my requests, bookings, visitors, announcements, my profile.
- Owner Portal — if you are an owner: home, my units, documents, my profile.
- Settings (admin only) — users, roles, tenants, integrations, webhooks, notifications, audit logs.
The sidebar collapses on smaller screens — look for a hamburger icon in the header.
Language and direction
- Click the Language toggle in the header (next to your avatar) to switch between English and Arabic.
- The whole interface flips to right-to-left when you choose Arabic.
- Your choice is remembered on this browser.
The command palette
Not sure where a page lives? Press Ctrl + K (or Cmd + K on macOS). A search bar opens. Start typing — it finds pages, modules, and recent records.
Getting help
- Help Center: click the question-mark icon in the header.
- Admin Support: if something looks broken or you can't access what you need, start by messaging a Tenant Admin at your organization.
- ArkanPM support: your Tenant Admin has the support email; escalations go through them.
Next: pick the handbook that fits your role.
